East Coast Scuba & Watersports is Nova Scotia’s premier destination for scuba diving; where experience, expertise, and passion come together to deliver unmatched training and adventure.
Located in the heart of the province, we are proud to be a PADI 5 Star IDC and Tec Rec Dive Centre, offering a complete, full-service experience: world-class instruction, top-quality equipment sales, rentals, and expert servicing, all under one roof.
Our team is one of the strongest in Atlantic Canada. ECSW is staffed by 15 PADI Instructors including two PADI Course Directors. Our leadership speaks for itself. John, a retired Canadian Armed Forces member, has been shaping divers in Nova Scotia since 1997, bringing decades of elite-level experience as a Technical Trimix Instructor Trainer. Tracy, teaching since 2011, is equally dedicated, with a deep passion for technical diving and a talent for guiding students at every level of the PADI system. We have one Master Instructor, who you may have seen on the TV series Oak Island. Three instructors are Master Scuba Diver Trainer qualified; one of which is a military doctor who specializes in diving medicine.
Beyond the classroom and confined water, our experienced Dive Masters know Nova Scotia's waters inside and out. Whether you are new to diving or exploring advanced sites, they provide expert guidance, local insight and unforgettable guided experiences.

Unique to ECSW, we train all open water divers in dry suit use in the pool and conduct qualification dives using the dry suit in the ocean. Many years of teaching in Nova Scotia have seen new divers endure the cold of open water certification dives without the benefit of proper exposure protection. Our courses are capped at a maximum of 6 persons per course to ensure maximum supervision and new diver enjoyment.
For the diver and water sports enthusiast that demands value for their money and getting the “right equipment the first time” ECSW carries only premium brand dive equipment such as Fourth Element, Santi, Halcyon, ScubaPro, Abyss, SiTech, Kraken, Big Blue, Halcyon, Pulse, Akona, White Knuckle, Suspenz, Old Town Kayaks to name a few and is able to offer experienced advice in equipment selection.
